Sara Aguiar

Originally from Portugal but living in her 6th country already, Sara is driven by impact. She holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Relations but ended up falling in love with the innovation, startups, and technology ecosystems. She worked as an entrepreneur-in-residence, designing and validating business models and go-to-market strategies, and, later, she co-founded and led the marketing strategy of a startup helping microentrepreneurs. While pursuing an International Master’s in Management at Nova SBE, she was also invited to be an entrepreneurship and business model innovation Teaching Assistant at Católica SBE and ISEG, in Lisbon, after which she joined the European Commission's Research and Innovation Dictorate-General to develop and manage digital tools to help R&I projects become startups. She joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) next, where besides focusing on helping startups to scale through the cloud across EMEA, she also managed strategic partnerships with ecosystem players like incubators, accelerators, and VCs. Most recently she joined a global innovation team at P&G based in Geneva, Switzerland. On top of her job, she is a mentor, a Young Advisor to the President of Portugal, she co-hosts a podcast to democratize career development topics amongst young professionals in Portugal (Ponto Zero) and co-leads an NGO that is trying to close the female leadership ambition gap through C-level mentorship.
